Job summary

Endeavor Healthis seeking a Public Safety Officer to join the hospital security team in Naperville, IL. This full-time role includes night shifts (6pm–6am; 6pm–6am on Wednesdays, then Thu–Sat) and requires patrolling facilities, handling incidents, and assisting visitors with directions and escorts.

Training and certifications are part of the onboarding process. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of customer-focused service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-focused service-based organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to detect unusual occurrences and safeguard people and property.
• Report incidents or potential losses and, if needed, involve police and provide assistance during investigations.
• Respond to service calls promptly and courteously.
• Greet patients and visitors, provide directions, and assist with escorting as needed.
• Direct vehicle traffic near hospital facilities and enforce parking/citation policies.
• Physically restrain individuals when necessary and involve police when required.
• Protect valuables, monitor assets, and manage lost and found items.
• Check doors/windows and verify equipment is functioning; notify authorities of issues.
• Investigate thefts, accidents, and incidents and document findings.
