Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma and required training.
• Minimum of 20 Hours Training outlined by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, or certification as a Peace Officer in the State of Illinois.
• Security experience – 2 years preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to interact professionally with staff and patients.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas, monitoring for safety hazards and unauthorized persons.
• Maintain secure facilities and control access to rooms and offices.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, accidents, and other public service calls.
• Prepare written reports on investigations and activities.
• Enforce hospital safety and security rules and parking policies.
• Provide directions and assistance to patients, visitors and staff.
