Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for night shifts (7pm–7am) in Georgetown, TX. The RN will provide direct psychiatric and general nursing care, support the care philosophy, and ensure patient safety in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication supervision, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Texas RN license in good standing is required; CPR/BLS preferred and a CPR course must be passed within 30 days of hire.
• SAMA certification is required and a class must be passed within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in behavioral health.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients, including supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine and provide the best care.
• Maintain a safe environment on the unit.
• Provide social support through groups, activities and therapeutic measures.
• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives.
