Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Amarillo is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead patient care in a psychiatric setting. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, document responses, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery.

You will ensure safety, adhere to Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, and provide education to patients and families. Sponsorship opportunities are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license and be eligible for facility credentialing.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing or mental health care preferred.
• Ability to administer medications safely and provide patient education.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills per policy.
• Ability to follow Joint Commission, federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using nursing process to develop individualized plan.
• Administer medications as prescribed and educate patients.
• Document care, progress, and responses in medical records.
• Collaborate with team and ensure continuity of care.
• Float among clinical services and perform other duties as assigned.
