Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Amarillo is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead nursing activities, coordinate patient care, and ensure safety in a psychiatric environment. You will assess patients, plan care, administer medications, document accurately, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

The role requires an active RN license in Texas, an Associate Degree in Nursing, CPR certification, and at least one year of inpatient hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact license
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Identify risk levels and discharge planning needs; implement interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Administer medications as prescribed and provide patient education on therapies.
• Document patient status, response to intervention, and progress accurately.
• Maintain professional standards per Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent, safe patient care.
