Job summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for Oceans Behavioral Hospital Permian Basin to lead milieu management and direct nursing care. The RN will ensure safety, document patient progress, and administer medications in accordance with policies and procedures.

Required are an active RN license in the state, an Associate Degree in Nursing, CPR certification, and 1 year of inpatient experience. Shifts are 12 hours, with potential for sponsorships for RNs.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates effective communication and documentation.
• Must complete CPR certification and Oceans approved de-escalation program.

Responsibilities

• Lead milieu management and direct patient care activities of nursing staff.
• Provide safe delivery of medications and patient education.
• Document patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
• Adhere to Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations and Ocean’s policies.
• Float among clinical services as needed and support staff and patients.
