Job summary
Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide high‑quality general and psychiatric nursing to patients admitted for treatment of psychiatric disorders. The role supports care philosophies and prioritizes patient safety and well‑being.
The LVN will monitor patients, assist with non‑professional staff, administer prescribed treatments, and stay informed on psychopharmacology relevant to child, adolescent, and adult populations.
Qualifications
- Must possess current LVN licensure in the State of Texas.
- CPR certification and SAMA training within 30 days of hire.
- Prior psychiatric healthcare experience helpful.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality general/psychiatric nursing care to hospitalized patients.
- Monitor health and well-being of patients for a given shift.
- Report changes to the charge nurse and guide non-professional staff.
- Provide prescribed medical treatment and implement basic interventions.
- Maintain familiarity with psychotropic medications and applicable terminology.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
