Job summary

Intermountain Hospital in Boise seeks a dynamic Psych Tech to join a dedicated team focused on patient healing. The role involves assisting in planning and implementing treatment under supervision of a Registered Nurse and Program Manager.

The position requires CPI/seclusion/restraint training, CPR knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced psychiatric setting with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Night shifts are 12 hours, with full-time hours in Boise.

Qualifications

• CPI/seclusion/restraint training/certification.
• Knowledge of psychiatric care techniques.
• Knowledge of de-escalation and assaultive behavior management techniques.
• Thorough knowledge and training in CPR.
• Knowledge of all code procedures.
• Knowledge of adolescent and adult program rules and protocols.
• Excellent leadership skills.

• Skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing services for assigned program.
• Work as part of interdisciplinary treatment team to define and implement treatment goals.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patients under RN and Program Manager supervision.
