Job summary

Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate Mental/Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while assisting patients with daily activities and treatment plan goals.

Shift is Nights 6pm-6am with differential. Competitive pay ranges from $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on education and experience, plus shift differential for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; degree in social work, recreation therapy, or related field preferred.
• One year of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred, not required.
• CPR and Handle With Care certification in-house may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Support patient engagement, daily functioning, and treatment goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.
