Job summary

Ravago seeks a plant operator to efficiently cut, bag, and stack feedstocks while minimizing scrap and maintaining a clean, safe work area. You will run guillotine controls, inspect material for contamination, and ensure proper stacking with protective packing between layers.

The role requires attention to safety and environmental standards, with experience operating forklift equipment being a plus. The position emphasizes teamwork during changeovers and shutdowns in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience/license preferred.
• Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate guillotine controls and cut material to specified sizes.
• Check metal detector at shift start and after lunch.
• Visually inspect material for contamination during cutting and stacking.
• Neatly stack cut material with poly between layers to prevent sticking.
• Stack waste skids according to size and prepare cardboard for baling.
• Ensure containers are cleaned and markings removed before use.
• Assist in cleanup during changeovers and shutdowns.
• Maintain a clean work area and machinery; follow PPE procedures.
• Inform Maintenance and Team Leader of issues with equipment.
• Uphold 7S and Code of Conduct standards.
