Job summary

Ravago is seeking a dependable 3rd shift operator for our Ohio facility to efficiently cut, bag and stack feedstocks while minimizing scrap and maintaining safety.

You will operate guillotine controls, monitor metal detectors, check for contamination, and ensure proper stacking with protective materials. A high school diploma is preferred, with forklift experience/license valued, and prior manufacturing experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Forklift experience/license preferred.
• Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate guillotine controls.
• Cut material to specified sizes/weights and identify groups as outlined on mixing instructions.
• Check the metal detector at the beginning of each shift and after lunch period.
• Visually check all material while cutting and stacking for contamination.
• Neatly stack cut material using poly between layers to prevent sticking.
• Stack waste skids according to size and stack cardboard to go to the cardboard baler.
• Check to ensure all containers are cleaned before using; remove old tickets/ markings.
• Assist in cleanup during changeovers and shutdowns; keep area and machinery clean.
• Inform Maintenance of issues with equipment; notify Team Leader of problems.
• Follow PPE procedures; safeguard company property; comply with safety and environmental standards.
