Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Co. in Garland, TX, seeks a Manufacturing Operator to set up, run, and maintain equipment producing paint and coatings to meet customer specs.

You will work on night shifts (6:00pm–6:00am, rotating 12-hour shifts) with every-other weekend, and may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Minimum 1 year in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience monitoring gauges, dials, or machinery indicators.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing/distribution settings.
• Experience monitoring quality of raw materials or finished goods.
• Experience operating packaging equipment (robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers).
• Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Experience mixing/blending raw materials in an industrial batch process.

Responsibilities

• Operate paint-making control systems and equipment (HSDs, pumps, robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, forklifts).
• Load and unload trucks with raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform assigned manufacturing tasks.
• Monitor materials and finished goods for quality.
• Comply with policies and SOPs.
• Keep logs, perform minor repairs, report breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain production records and reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies.
• Provide technical support and training to teammates.
• Suggest improvements to manufacturing procedures.
• Keep tools and work area clean and organized daily.
