Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Co. seeks a shift-based batch operator to pre-batch and blend raw materials for industrial colorants.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and productive work in a manufacturing setting on the 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:30pm). You will operate high-speed mixers, paint-making control systems, and related equipment, while ensuring material quality, maintaining logs, and collaborating with other teams to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Select, pull, measure, and stage raw materials for manufacturing.
• Follow batch slip instructions to mix raw materials in high-speed mixers.
• Make lab adjustments and maintain raw material samples from daily premixes.
• Operate paint-making control systems and equipment such as high-speed dispersers, pumps, valves, etc.
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality.
• Keep equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain production records and reporting as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members.
• Contribute ideas to improve or optimize manufacturing procedures.
• Keep tools, equipment, and the work environment clean and organized daily.
