As a Team Leader, you will be a vital part of our manufacturing team, contributing to the efficient production of food products. With core skills in food production, manufacturing, and sanitation, you will be directly involved in various aspects of food processing to ensure high-quality standards are met.
In addition to production experience, you will oversee daily operations, guide team members, and ensure that our standards of quality and efficiency are met. This role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Your knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, and food safety will be essential in maintaining compliance and upholding industry standards. Additionally, your relevant skills in mechanical knowledge, packaging, and forklift operation will support the smooth operation of our food processing
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures, USDA / FDA regulations, HACCP, and GMP guidelines and ensure product safety & quality.
- Perform or ensure pre-operational and operational inspections of the manufacturing facility are completed.
- Ensure compliance with employee safety, quality specifications and food safety procedures.
- Ensure completion of all required documents in an accurate and timely manner.
- Identify and respond to any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety, food safety and food quality with a sense of urgency.
- Work closely with leadership to improve or maintain quality, food safety, and consistency of product.
- Monitor all sanitation, supply chain / warehousing and operational documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with governing standards.
- Work with operational employees to ensure all essential functions are performed as needed.
- Work with operational leadership during annual validations of the HACCP plan.
- Provide training to all new employees to ensure they have a working knowledge of their responsibilities for food safety and quality.
- Collaborate with Management, Sales and Production to help develop strategies to resolve customer-related issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to food safety protocols and ensure proper handling of food products.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong background in food production operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of USDA/ FDA regulations, HACCP, and food safety practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with team members and all levels of leadership.
- Focus on continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with GMP standards and packaging processes in a food processing plant
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
- Detail oriented, especially when completing required documents and performing internal and external audits.
- Able to adapt to situational changes and act with a sense of urgency.
- Able to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation as well as written materials.This learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting.

- Ability to make good sound decisions and maintain a positive attitude, especially when under pressure.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions, product specifications and quality requirements.
- Ability to stand for entire shift, bend, reach, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs and walk around the production floor.
- Ability to work in both warm and cold environment
- Ability to work independent and cooperatively within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform different tasks throughout your shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
Signing Bonus: $1,000
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift (Sun – Fri)
- 3rd shift / Evenings
- Overtime as needed
