Job summary

Emerson in Marshalltown, IA seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor for 3rd shift (12:00 AM–8:00 AM) overseeing the Large Value Stream Assembly Team manufacturing large, custom-designed control valves. You’ll lead daily activities, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of leadership, 2–3 years in manufacturing, and US work authorization (no sponsorship).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or above with 3 years of leadership experience.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience in manufacturing emphasizing production processes and efficiency.
• Strong leadership, disciplined, assertive, and high energy to meet goals.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong safety culture; perform safety audits and start-ups.
• Plan and direct daily work to meet goals and utilize team resources.
• Maintain employee qualifications and identify training needs.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and safe stockroom management.
• Develop and implement process improvements to reduce non-conformances and costs.
• Improve department performance through training and cross-training.
• Support proper completion of assembly processing requirements and testing.
• Advise on Best Practices (5S+1, TPM, Kaizen) and cost reductions.
• Maintain department records and labor-formance data across metrics.
