Job summary

Sun Chemical, a global leader in packaging and display technologies, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Amelia, OH area. Directs hourly production staff with emphasis on safety, quality, and throughput; trains teams in safe practices; coordinates with quality and maintenance; and drives continuous improvement using Six Sigma and Lean tools.

The role requires a high school diploma (bachelors preferred), 3+ years in production supervision, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred (chemistry or chemical engineering background ideal)
• Three (3) years minimum experience required as a production supervisor or process technician
• Competence in MS Office software and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work of hourly personnel with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and quality while maintaining high productivity
• Training personnel in safe working practices and coordinating with quality control
• Expedite manufacturing to maximize throughput at minimum cost and prepare operations reports
