Job summary

Nestlé Purina, Rockingham County, NC, operates a modern pet food manufacturing facility near the Virginia border, producing Purina Pro Plan, Purina ONE and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets. As Production Supervisor, you will lead a night-shift team to ensure safety, quality, sanitation and cost goals while driving continuous improvement.

You will manage the 6:00 pm–6:00 am schedule on a 2-2-3 pattern, mentor hourly staff, and apply Nestlé Continuous Excellence tools to optimize asset use and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
• 1+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team meets quality, sanitation, cleaning, lubrication and inspections standards.
• Lead and support Total Performance Management, Nestle Continuous Excellence initiatives and the factory’s continuous improvement plan.
• Participate in operational reviews and general meetings.
• Facilitate disciplinary procedures and grievances with employees.
• Train, coach and develop hourly production employees including management of timecards, vacation schedules and production reports.
• Ensure products are produced in compliance with quality key check points and within Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Manage the production schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs, including active participation in problem-solving to achieve these results.
