Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is expanding its lithium‑ion battery production near De Soto, Kansas. The Production Supervisor will lead a 24/7 high‑volume shift, drive Lean practices, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency targets are met.

The role requires strong leadership, problem‑solving, and the ability to coach a diverse team. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional groups to sustain continuous improvement and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline; relevant work experience may substitute for education.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher and OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations to meet production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Ensure development and strict adherence to Standardized Work Instructions (SWIs).
• Plan and assign work schedules, tasks, and priorities for team members.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Participate in PFMEA and risk mitigation activities with Manufacturing Process Engineers.
