Job summary

Northwest Pipe seeks a Supervisor II – Night Shift to oversee second shift in steel manufacturing. You will lead production teams, plan work, enforce safety, quality and efficiency, and drive cost and delivery improvements.

Responsibilities include directing spiral mills, welding, hydrostatic testing, end prep and shipping, enforcing ISO/SOX, applying lean principles, and coaching staff to achieve objectives over a 30–90 day horizon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4–5 years in production management.
• Experience in pipe, steel, or heavy highway industries preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all shift operations to ensure adequate resources and efficiency.
• Direct activities of spiral mills, repair welding, hydrostatic testing, end prep and shipping.
• Ensure products meet specifications, delivery and cost targets.
• Coach and develop employees; conduct performance reviews and set goals.
• Lead safety audits, ISO audits and SOX compliance efforts.
