Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. seeks an overnight supervisor for its West Jefferson, OH facility. The role oversees liquid production, trains and schedules 15–20 staff, and enforces safety, food safety, and quality policies in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with other departments to optimize production and costs. Works a 12-hour night shift with rotating days and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills.
• Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to do multi-functional tasks.
• Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when required
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations.

Responsibilities

• Produces the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost consistent with good manufacturing practices.
• Provides a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Recognizes and takes steps to resolve operating problems to minimize impact on operations.
• Directs maintenance, sanitation and other personnel as needed to achieve production, sanitation, safety and warehouse objectives.
• Maintains consistent communications and monthly department meetings.
• Adheres to GMPs and sanitary conditions to ensure product quality and food safety.
