Job summary

Pregis LLC in Illinois seeks a Production Supervisor - Nights to lead a manufacturing team, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while driving waste reduction and sustainability goals.

The role includes interviewing and developing talent, planning daily/weekly objectives, training staff on SOPs, and using Excel/Outlook to monitor performance and generate reports. 5+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in supervision preferred; HS diploma required, BA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years’ experience with a minimum 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.
• Strong Background in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
• Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence
• Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment
• Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
• Train and understand of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate
• Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement
• Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.
• Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.
• Self-motivated with results-driven approach.
