Job summary

The Visual Pak Companies in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage work processes and associates on designated shifts, reporting to the Operations Manager. This role oversees up to 120 staff, enforces safety and cGMP standards, and drives on-time production to meet customer needs.

You will lead training, optimize changeovers, coach line leads, and participate in performance evaluations. A High School diploma and at least 2 years in supervision in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or GED Equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisor role.
• Minimum of 4 years working in a manufacturing environment.
• English communication required; Spanish preferred.
• Moderate PC and ERP capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Hazardous Material Handling Procedures and oversee Initial and Annual Training.
• Manage and supervise all production associates.
• Execute the schedule to keep all production lines running to meet customer needs.
• Develop the line leads to take ownership of the line.
• Monitor change-overs and set-ups to reduce down-time.
• Exercise team attitude with peers on alternate shifts to ensure smooth shift start.
• Support cGMP by holding associates to required standards.
• Monitor training to ensure new hires, temps, and transfers understand their responsibilities.
• Able to diagnose and correct problems within department and communicate issues cross functionally.
• Change agent to support strategic initiatives around safety, quality, cost and on time service.
• Execute Performance Evaluations for department associates.
