Job summary

Avient in Holden, MA is hiring a Production Operator to set up and operate equipment to blend, mix, or transport chemicals, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency. You will weigh ingredients, monitor production, and document data while adhering to safety rules.

Responsibilities include machine maintenance, cleaning, and assisting with quality control. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to work nights on a 11:00 pm–7:30 am shift, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent training & experience.
• Industrial operations experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Mathematical skills for unit conversions and recipe calculations.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, starts and runs all machinery.
• Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and inserts into machinery.
• Monitors production and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues.
• Performs machine cleaning and documents logs and procedures.
• May take samples to lab for evaluation and batch adjustments.
