Job summary

Avient Corporation is hiring for a Production Operator on the 3rd shift in Holden, MA. You will set up and operate equipment to blend, mix, or transport chemicals, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency. The role includes machine maintenance, quality control, data recording, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent training & experience.
• Experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Math skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide; perform unit conversions and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, starts and runs all machinery.
• Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials into machinery.
• Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; troubleshoots equipment and processing issues.
• Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials.
• May take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed.
• Performs all required machine cleaning.
• Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
