Job summary

Avient is hiring a Production Operator in a 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday shift. You will set up and operate equipment to blend and move chemicals, perform quality checks, and document production data.

The role requires reading safety rules and maintaining accuracy in measurements, with overtime flexibility and a team-focused approach. Compensation starts at $20+ per hour with bonuses and comprehensive benefits including medical, paid time off, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent training & experience.
• Experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide; work with different units such as weight, volume, density, distance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and run all machinery.
• Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and input into machinery.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe and efficient operation; troubleshoot issues.
• Operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge or handle materials.
• Take samples for lab evaluation and adjust batches if needed.
• Perform machine cleaning and document work in logs and data reports.
