Job summary

Oldcastle in Dover, DE is seeking a Shift Supervisor to ensure safety and productivity on the plant floor. The role collaborates with site management and supports employee-related efforts, including training and performance reviews.

This onsite position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong communication, and the ability to manage shift hand-offs and production metrics. The role blends office work with hands-on plant floor activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility.
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Professional and personable with strong written and spoken communication.
• Experience in manufacturing/ distribution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed (PPE, plant cleanliness, clear work areas).
• Effectively conduct shift hand-offs.
• Coordinate with Team Lead and Operators to follow the production schedule.
• Be responsible for shift production metrics (scrap, pounds, feet).
• Ensure quality and packaging standards are met.
• Train shift personnel and complete required paperwork and entries.
• Perform disciplinary coaching and complete performance reviews.
• Manage PTO requests and timesheets for payroll.
