Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a machine operator to support rotating 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment. You will handle daily communications, documentation, and prioritization of work orders while focusing on downtime reduction and quality control.

Responsibilities include supporting PMs, collaborating with planners, and maintaining safe, efficient operations. Housing or additional benefits are not listed; candidates must be able to work in a noisy, industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, construction, warehouse, or military environments.
• Willingness to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Able to work a rotating 12-hour shift (days and nights).
• Capable of working in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environments.
• Must wear safety equipment as required.
• Experience with record-keeping and documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily activities and changes at shift changes.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Look for opportunities to reduce downtime and maintain PMs.
• Assist in prioritization of scheduled work orders.
• Coordinate with planners and schedulers to prioritize critical work.
• Understand backlog work and communicate quality issues to leads.
