Job summary

Zeeland Farm Services is seeking a Process Technician for the night shift on a biweekly 2-2-3 schedule. The role involves monitoring and operating processing equipment to meet production quality standards, with a base rate of $24.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift premium once placed on night shift.

Education: High School or Equivalent; 1 year in manufacturing preferred. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, work safety practices, and maintain logs and quality data.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of the manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Strong communication with coworkers and management.
• Maintain good attendance habits.
• Follow SOPs and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate processing equipment to follow the operations plan and solve problems.
• Monitor process temperatures, pressures, material flows and levels.
• Complete sanitation work of areas as assigned.
• Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, process aids, and packaging materials.
• Take samples, analyze quality, and record test data.
• Maintain logs of instrument readings during hourly rounds.
• Make necessary physical adjustments to meet operating parameters.
• Notify supervisor of operational or food safety concerns.
• Assist other departments for efficient plant operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation/environment at all times.
