Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Pretzel Operator I to join our manufacturing team in Hanover, PA on the weekend night shift (Thu–Sat, 5:25 PM–5:25 AM). The role supports dough preparation, equipment operation, and quality control in a fast-paced snack production environment.

Responsibilities include operating mixers, recording extruder data, maintaining cleanliness, reporting issues, and assisting other operators as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Three months of training knowledge for product quality and basic operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate pretzel dough mixers, ensuring dough quality and texture meet standards.
• Weigh raw pretzels every 30 minutes and record extruder speeds/pressure.
• Monitor ingredient stock and maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Identify and report mechanical issues and machinery wear to leadership.
• Log operation records and track inventory using handheld scanner.
• Substitute for other processing operators as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and communicate any safety concerns.
• Work proactively in a cross-functional team and communicate production information to other shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
