Job summary
Specialized Talent Acquisition Recruiting Team (START) in Michigan seeks skilled Mold Maker to support production injection molds. You will perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly, troubleshoot electrical faults and hot runners, and build hydraulic/water circuits to improve reliability.
The role requires experience with toolroom machines (surface grinder, drill press, engine lathe) and operating an overhead crane and forklift.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of Mold Maker experience with production injection molds.
- Proficiency in repairs and preventive maintenance, start to finish.
- Capability to diagnose and correct hot runner and electrical issues.
- Experience fabricating and routing hydraulic and water circuits.
- Comfort with core toolroom machines: surface grinder, drill press, engine lathe.
- Experience operating an overhead crane and driving a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of production injection molds.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and hot runner systems to restore cycle-ready performance.
- Manufacture and install new hydraulic and water lines for optimal flow and reliability.
- Operate a surface grinder, drill press, and engine lathe to exacting tolerances.
- Use an overhead crane and forklift to safely handle molds and components.
