Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Pre-Analytical Assistant I in Sacramento, CA, Tue-Sat, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM. The role supports the Technical Operations Department, with responsibilities spanning specimen handling, compliance research, and documentation.

You will learn critical processes and work toward advancing within Tech Ops and Specimen Processing. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Minimal data entry skills are required.
• Medical background or terminology helpful in a clinical lab context.

Responsibilities

• Learn the duties of the Pre-Analytical Assistant I and how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing work together to ensure quality.
• Identify problems with specimen types and missing information and support timely resolution.
• Research test order information in translation tables and computer systems for compliance.
• Meet quality and production standards within 6 months of training.
• Complete required written documentation clearly and on time.
• Report to work on time and support the department during coworker absences.
• Learn additional functions to progress to the next level.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
