Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum unit. This full-time night shift (7:00pm-7:00am) offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The RN will perform competent nursing care following the nursing process, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the care team. BSN/MSN preferred; ACLS/PALS/ENPC/NRP training within specified timelines is required or planned.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN preferred. Meets and maintains requirements defined by specialty; ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.
• Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Inpatient Pediatrics; PALS within 6 months of hire.
• All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate teaching and health promotion with patients and families.
