Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago’s Hyde Park is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician for its Sleep Lab. This 100% onsite role requires base in the greater Chicagoland area and night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am.

Responsibilities include performing polysomnograms, CPAP/BiPAP titrations, and preparing patients. You will also document findings, assist with equipment setup, and support lab operations to ensure high-quality testing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and completion of preparation modules for a polysomnographic registration.
• Must have CPR certification and obtain RPSGT or RST within one year of hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist also qualifies and sleep disorders experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine polysomnograms and CPAP/BiPAP titrations.
• Explains procedures and prepares patients for tests.
• Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots sleep lab equipment.
• Writes preliminary reports and ensures accurate patient records.
• Participates in sleep lab workflow, billing, and patient satisfaction.
