Job summary

The City of San Antonio’s Police Department is seeking a Police Services Agent to perform police support services, process reports, and maintain NCIC/TCIC records. You will handle customer service, field officer support, and substation security in a fast-paced office setting.

This role requires high school diploma, data processing experience, CJIS background check, and the ability to work assigned shifts at Prue or Central Substations in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (TEA-approved).
• Two years of data processing or other computer-related experience.
• CJIS fingerprint-based background check required; disqualifications listed (felonies, DV, etc.).
• TCIC/NCIC certification required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Enter police reports and update NCIC/TCIC files for recovered or stolen property.
• Perform building and grounds security, including testing station alarm systems.
• Provide customer service and assist field officers with information retrieval.
• Photograph victims of domestic violence; manage digital image files.
• Sort mail, distribute police reports, faxes, and subpoenas.
• Perform related duties as required.
