Job summary

The Shelly Company in Ohio seeks a Portable Plant Equipment/Plant Operator for the night shift to assist the Foreperson with daily production duties, operating heavy equipment and other plant-related tasks at various locations.

You must follow safety procedures, perform routine maintenance, weld and fabricate as needed, and be willing to travel. The role requires night/weekend work, a willingness to work with a team, and strict adherence to OSHA and MSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Welding and fabrication skills beneficial.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Strong safety focus and compliance with OSHA/MSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and assist Foreperson with daily production.
• Perform general plant duties and minor maintenance tasks.
• Weld and fabricate as needed and support crew as requested.
• Maintain safety standards and report hazards or malfunctions.
• Assist with plant upkeep and cleanup at various locations.
