Job summary

International Paper in Newton, NC is hiring for a Maintenance A position on a 2-2-3 shift (6:00 pm–6:00 am). The role involves installation, troubleshooting and repair of containerboard plant machinery in a fast-paced environment with safety and quality as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of plant equipment and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and related components.
• Proven ability to read drawings and diagnose issues on heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles devices to gain access to defective parts.
• Inspects parts for wear and tolerance, and replaces components as needed.
• Sets up and operates drilling, grinding, milling and welding tools.
• Performs preventative maintenance and startup tasks for plant equipment.
• Maintains clean and safe work area and uses PPE as required.
