Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Planer Mill night shift to oversee a team of hourly employees with emphasis on safety, production and quality goals. The role is dedicated to continuous improvement in safety, cost management, process optimization, mill scheduling, production flow, staffing and housekeeping.

The position requires supervisory experience, strong leadership, and the ability to lead a 24/7 manufacturing environment while upholding company values and policy

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
• Leadership skills to coach employees to higher performance.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work any shift including weekends in a 24/7 environment.
• Ability to improve safety, quality and labor efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight of hourly production employees to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
• Model Core Values and People Principles to foster a positive work environment and open communication.
• Lead safety and other team meetings.
• Balance labor resources to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and production.
• Set performance expectations that support mill goals and evaluate job performance.
• Coach and provide timely feedback and direction to employees.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
