Job summary

Woodgrain, a leading millwork producer, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead production activities on an assigned shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. You will supervise operators, coordinate problem-solving on the floor, and maintain open communication across shifts.

The role requires directing staffing, coaching team members, enforcing PPE and safety rules, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to resolve downtime and deviations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams to meet safety and quality goals.
• Ability to coach, monitor performance, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Strong knowledge of PPE, lockout/tagout, and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience tracking throughput, downtime, and yield with accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct production employees during the assigned shift.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure staffing levels meet production needs.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to team members.
• Conduct shift huddles and ensure clear communication of goals and priorities.
• Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts fairly and promptly.
