AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a Per Diem Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN for night shifts. The role involves caring for critically ill pediatric patients in a dedicated unit with trained specialists and 24/7 support.

Flexibility for per diem night coverage is a key attribute of this position. The ideal candidate will hold an RN license, have 1+ year in a PICU setting, and demonstrate strong critical thinking, teamwork, and patient education skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida or state where practicing.
• 1+ year of pediatric ICU experience preferred or required per unit policy.

Responsabilités

• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates proper PPE use and hand hygiene.
• Demonstrates critical thinking appropriate to patient level of care.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans; ensures understanding.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff to maintain professional relationships.
