Texas Health Denton is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to support phlebotomy and laboratory operations on the night shift. You will follow hospital procedures for specimen collection, patient identification, and labeling to ensure accurate results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; comply with CLIA foreign education equivalency requirements.
• Six months phlebotomy experience or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
• PBT(ASCP) certification; Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.
• Customer Service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• For those entities performing phlebotomy; follow laboratory procedures for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient.
• Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity.
• Reports and evaluates test results.
• Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care.
