Job summary

You will follow phlebotomy policies, ensure patient identification, and comply with safety standards. The role involves working the night shift (11pm - 7:30am), handling specimen collection, labeling, and transporting samples to the laboratory, with strict attention to fasting requirements and patient care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy on patients and ensures correct collection for tests.
• Maintains patient identification accuracy throughout collection.
• Notifies nursing or physicians about fasting requirements or sample issues.
• Checks requisitions for missing information and follows up as needed.
• Prepares, stores, and transports specimens per lab policies.
• Cleans work area and maintains supplies and safety protocols.
• Performs other lab duties as assigned.
