Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as appropriate to practice site.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of pharmacy services under pharmacist supervision.
• Answers phones and provides excellent customer service.
• Collects patient information and maintains required records.
• Prepares medication orders and compounds medications as appropriate.
• Packages and labels medications accurately and maintains inventory security.
• Supports quality and patient safety initiatives and communicates concerns to the pharmacist.
