Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in safe, efficient pharmaceutical care across locations, including acute and ambulatory settings.

This on-site role covers night hours (9:00pm–7:30am) with an hourly pay range listed; the position emphasizes accurate dispensing, record-keeping, caregiver communication, and compliance with state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for pharmacy practice and controlled substances.
• Failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action or termination.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in 안전 and accurate dispensing of medications under supervision.
• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service at practice site.
• Collect patient information and maintain records as required by policy.
• Prepare medication orders and perform necessary calculations for dispensing.
• Maintain inventory, verify controlled substances, and ensure 340B/Charging management.
• Package, label, and ensure accuracy of medications; support quality and safety initiatives.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in departmental meetings to improve processes.
