Job summary

Cipla is hiring a Manufacturing Mechanic for the Central Islip or Hauppauge, NY site. This full-time/hoursly position requires maintaining and repairing processing equipment to ensure continuous production in a pharmaceutical setting.

The role emphasizes cGMP compliance, safety, and hands-on troubleshooting of packaging and encapsulation lines, with experience on Cadmach, Fette, ACG, and Bosch systems preferred. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 2-4 years of experience in packaging or manufacturing with knowledge of repairing and maintenance activity and qualifications, preferably in a pharmaceutical company.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform installation, repair, and troubleshooting of process equipment as required, including electrical, pneumatic & electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Efficiently maintain operating machines and correct any malfunctions.
• Work with other mechanics to set up, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment.
• Must have hands-on experience in troubleshooting problems on Cadmach and Fette machines, and encapsulation on ACG and Bosch machines.
• Follow safe procedures when repairing or maintaining equipment.
• Restart machines quickly when required by business needs.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Complete PMs in the required time to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Develop maintenance improvements to reduce costs and safety hazards.
• Document batch records and logbooks.
