Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good communication skills; verbal and written.
• Math skills sufficient to complete documentation.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent work ethics a must.
• Ability to cooperate with co-workers is essential.
• Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of FSMA.

Responsibilities

• Operate pellet mill equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow feed formulation requirements and QA testing.
• Recognize and communicate quality issues to QA foreman.
• Keep feed inventory current and accurate.
• Complete operating and production documentation.
• Perform daily maintenance on pellet mill equipment and log results.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping to ensure equipment operates properly.
• Assist with repairs and report maintenance problems.
• Follow safety practices and OSHA standards.
• Follow mill SOPs and operate multiple pieces of equipment.
• Assist in all feed and other mill duties as needed by shift foreman.
• Other duties as assigned by plant management.
