Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year RN experience.
• Prior ED (Adults or Peds) experience preferred.
• Night shift availability.

• Pediatric ED/acute/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions consistent with age and condition, including physical, psychological, social, developmental, and educational factors.
• Continually evaluates patient responses to care, teaching, and discharge plans; documents progress and shares observations with healthcare team and families.
• Maintains compliance with medication, storage and documentation standards, regulations, and requirements.
• Provides orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes to patients and family members.
• Supervises patient care activities of assigned team members and delegates activities appropriately.
• Collaborates with the care team and family to implement the plan of care and coordinate activities.
• Models best practices and provides mentorship to students and new employees.
