Job summary

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care on a 36-hour week schedule. Nights shift runs 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Education required is a high school diploma or GED, plus CNA certification.

No prior experience is required. The role supports licensed nurses, performs ADLs, vital signs, data collection and documentation, and contributes to patient safety and comfort in a 34-bed Medical/Surgical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license/certification required.
• No prior experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision; assists with ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy or point-of-care testing.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists nurse with patient and family education; documents care activities with correct medical terminology; acts as 1:1 safety sitter as needed.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities and in professional development.
