Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the third shift (nights). Under the supervision of a nurse, you will assist with admissions and discharges, take vitals, draw blood, and provide daily patient care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; certification such as CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or completion of Sentara Care Partner Certification. Prior direct care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as CNA, NCMA, NCPCT or Sentara Care Partner Certification preferred.
• Experience in direct patient care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist with admissions and discharges under nurse supervision.
• Perform blood draws and Foley care as directed.
• Provide daily patient care including bathing, ambulation, and comfort.
