Job summary

Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the licensed clinical team. The PCT collaborates with the telehealth team and designated staff to assist with telehealth encounters between patients and providers.

The position supports staff in Med/Surg Oncology Transplant on the Night shift, requiring safety awareness, teamwork, and compassionate patient interaction. Training and orientation provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• BLS certification required per policy.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Ability to work with diverse patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Keeps supplies and equipment available for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to call lights promptly.
• May assist with telehealth encounters between patients and providers.
