Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Med/Surg Liver Transplant unit on the night shift. The role supports direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians, ensuring safety and efficient unit operations.

It may include telehealth responsibilities and use of Epic or Vidyo tools to assist virtual encounters. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to work within an interprofessional team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct and indirect patient care under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment.
• Support supplies and equipment to ensure unit operations.
• Perform patient rounds, respond to call lights promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• Assist with telehealth exams using peripheral devices and remote software.
